Once again, worth the trip. The landscape is beautiful!

Its good to be back to my small trips!!

During my holiday, I went to North of Portugal, near Serra da Estrela, Seia. I rent a house for a couple of days, in Valezim and went to some river beaches like Loriga, Nossa Sra dos Dinheiros and I can tell you worth the trip. The water was so cold but everything was so beautiful :)
So, I got the chance to met a bit more of my own country, which is such an amazing country!
I feel lucky to life here, the weather, the food, the people... Amazing!

I ate amazingly great and for very low prices. Just like I like!
I advice the Restaurant Borges in Seia, excellent and cheap. By the way, here you will be invited not to touch the menu and they will read it to you! Brilliant.

And I got the chance to meet another piece of my beautiful country.
I admit I feel lucky enough to life in Portugal. Its a wonderful country, with great food, great landscape, great people and the weather is also great most of the times. :)

For a very long time I wanted to visit Serpa, a small town near the Spanish border.
Serpa is well-known in Portugal due to its medieval fairs and its beautiful castle and old city surrounding the castle.

So when I was planing my trip back home from Malaga, saw one of the best way was just passing by Serpa, and thought why not enjoy this opportunity and stop in the middle of the day and visit this town?
So I did!

Was extremely hot, remember Serpa is near Spain, in Alentejo where is normally much hot than the coast.
Had a small lunch and headed myself to the old centre of Serpa. Has about 15h in the afternoon and the castle should be open, but it was not... I saw the timetable and really should be open... Maybe too hot to be working :)
Although I manage to sight seeing around Serpa and I can tell you its a beautiful place to visit. Small streets where people still not lock the doors, everything is mainly white and old-fashion.











As I promised, I'm checking my 2016 wish list (read it here) and visit more of Portugal. Hope I manage to fulfil all my wishes!

Finally I got the chance to see Radiohead live!! Nobody imagined my happiness, last friday!
Soon I knew the english band was announced to play at NOS Alive, next day I rush myself to Fnac to get my ticket. And so glad I did it! The tickets sold out pretty fast and I would not forgive myself if I let this opportunity scape.

So last friday, I went alone to NOS Alive and met a friend inside of the concert area.
I only wanted to see Radiohead but as I was there I saw BMH (Portuguese band) which music style is not my favorite but they were really good and Tame Impala, who surprised me very much.

But the highlight was Radiohead and they fulfill my expectation!
Played greats hits like Reckoner, Idioteque, The Iron Lungs, Exit Music (for a film) and on the second encore they played Karma Police e Creep, just to named a few. They played 24 songs in over 2 hours of concert. It was just unreal and marvelous!

First of all, happy birthday to myself. Yesterday was my day :D
But also Portuguese sports are celebrating!!
Portugal won the European championship Euro2016, but we also won gold and bronze medal on half-marathon, we won silver medal on cycling and shotput and we also won gold medal on triple-jump!



Congratulations to Portugal and July 10th should be national day!!

There is a place in Sesimbra that I keep returning once in a while. That place is Sesimbra's Castle!
Every time I go there is like the first time, I read all the boards, imagine the people living there, etc. And my dogs like to go there too.
From the top of the Castle you can see Sesimbra, the bay and every little places around it. Its magnificent!!

This time I had a bonus on my visit to the castle.
When I was returning to my car, I heard from inside of the chapel some music. So I decided to leave the dogs in my car (I know it was safe, the weather was bad).
I entered the chapel and there was a concert of sacred music "Stabat Mater", by singer Luísa Brandão and Luísa Tavares with João Lucena e Vale playing piano. It was magical! I'm so sorry the event was not promoted more. I didn't even know about that concert.
