I discovered a new passion...
More than paint or draw I discovered I love to sculpt...
Funny how for so many years I thought it might be fun to work with clay and ceramic. Until august of this year I sign up for a workshop and in the beginning to September I attended to that workshop.
I loved the experience and my ambition has being growing ever since!
This piece that I show you, was the fifth I made. The first 3 ones, were really simple, made plates and similar. Only to try to understand how the clay behave and how I could make what I had in mind.
Than I took a huge step and made a small bust and yesterday I made something I had in mind for over a week...

I admit its not perfect, made a lots of mistakes during the process and have some flaws. Each tentacle were made in a different way, so I could understand the better way to work around my idea.
However I feel satisfied with the results and I want to make more. My ambition is growing and already have several ideas in my head, some very elaborated. Jesus...

I feel a bit unsure to start making those ideas and feel disappointed if doesn't came out the way I think about them. But I'm loving the experience and I want to continue.
I even want to explore more techniques in this area. So if you know about workshop, classes, etc., in this area, let me know 😊

And enjoy the rest of your day!

Everybody knows I love to learn new stuff right?
So back while I sign up to make a new workshop, of ceramic but because of several mix-matchs I never made it, until September 11th. I love it so very much!
Made two small pieces, one plate with a shape of a leaf and another piece that I can't describe... I made it just to experiment new techniques.

This workshop was given by the girl behind Circulo Ceramics, a very sweet and talking,  at VOLTA Oficina Criativa, in Lisboa - LX Factory.
I enjoy it so much I even got the urge to make new piece of my own.

I take this opportunity to let you know that VOLTA Oficina Criativa has several flash workshops running throughout the year.
And enjoy the rest of your day!

19! Yesterday I went to pick up the certificate of my former lecture about Design UI & UX and there was that 19, my grade! I did not expected it, to be honest I was expecting something like 14 or 15, but not 19. So damn good!!
Of course I felt super good about myself.

But at this moment I just want my current lecture to finish, and I just think "One more day!" but actually is 12 more hours.
Need holidays!

This year is the year of training!
I already made 2 workshops, have another ongoing and if everything goes my way, will be making 2 more until the end of the year.

The first one I did, this year, was UI & UX Design. Was very interesting and I refreshed my knowledge about this issues and added new ones.

The second training was Facebook and Instagram Ads, with Virgínia Coutinho. I wanted to make this workshop for some time and managed to make it in June.
This workshop opened my eyes about how facebook gather information about its users and how companies can use this information to make profits. The potential is enormous!
Literally, you can do almost everything.
This workshop last 2 days, after hours and honestly I thought this workshop could last at least a couple more hours, due the complexity and functionality of Facebook Business Platform. If you are curious about this platform, go here: https://business.facebook.com/

And if you want to take this workshop, go: http://virginiacoutinho.com/ or search Virginia on facebook 😉

At this moment, I'm taking another training of Post Production of Video. Admit its been a challenge because I have little knowledge of editing or production of video and the exercises are a bit hard for me. Among almost 30, I'm one of few with little or no knowledge in this area. Really have to train and exercise. In the end, will be an exam and I want a good grade... The pressure!

And enjoy the rest of your day!

Did I told you I would make a pillow cover with the fabric I painted during serigraphy workshop (read post here)? Well I did!
The structure was simple and easy to do, just draw the rectangle, reverse the fabric, sew it in the machine and its done!
In the end I just had to reverse again the fabric to the right side and the cover was made.

The filling of the pillow I bought at Ikea, cheap. And I got a pillow painted, sewed by myself!

Its so cute?

Do you remember when I wrote about 'A Avó Veio Trabalhar'? You can read the post here.

Well, I told you guys I would like to go to their next workshop and I really went!
I spent one all morning at 'A Avó Veio Trabalhar', in a workshop of serigraph.

All I can say is, I LOVE IT! I love the place, the teacher Ângelo was amazing, super down to heart, explained everything and I went home really pumped of this great energy and wanting to do stuff. Just love it and recommend!!

The feeling was so good, learning new thing, putting my hands on ink, making things with my own hands... I always loved handcraft and I totally remember why I went to art in the first place.
In the end of the workshop, the students got a piece of fabric with the design made by ourselves. With my piece I'm planning to make a pillow, even got the fabric to make it.
Follow 'A Avó Veio Trabalhar' on facebook, get the news about them, about their workshops.

Meanwhile, here it is a small showcase of the pictures I took on that morning.

And enjoy the rest of your day!

Those who knows me well, know I love to learn new stuff! I love to meet new people, places, etc. Love!

And I also like to learn to DO new things. Recently I discover, via 'A Luz Ideal' facebook, something super cool and I want to do it soon as possible. I discover "A Avó veio Trabalhar" (translation, The Grandmother went to Work). And who are they?

The Grandmother went to Work is s group of grannies who love to embroider and sew an they also like to share their knowledge who wants to learn with them.
I think is fascinating they want to share their knowledge and keep the contact with young generations.
I totally hope, when the time came I may have this kind of spirit instead of staying in my house watching nonsense tv shows.

I will be alert to find out when will be the next workshop.

And enjoy the rest of your day!

Pictures taken from 'A Avó veio Trabalhar' facebook and belong to Pedro Sadio.

Do you remember that post I wrote about going to a watercolor workshop?
Well that workshop was at Leituria. The shop is super cozy and full of books, artcrafts from several artisans and gourmet food!

And enjoy the rest of your day!
