On Valentine's Day, my day was not that great due to stress, meanwhile I found out Domus was hosting a Flash Tattoo Days with very low prices... I thought I could tattoo and improve my day!
So, there I go!
Something that cheer me up is, traveling!
Its something that I REALLY enjoy and honestly I should travel once a month.
I was searching for a cheap travel in Europe when I saw on Ryanair.com two way ticket for a little bit over 50 euros. I knew I had to buy it!
So I went to Paris for one day and I has hoping to get some snow.
Actually... I got plenty of snow. On the day I arrived, snow so much they had to close Eiffel Tower and didn't snow that much in Paris the past 30 years. Lucky me!!
Sadly I lost my flight back home due to the snow and that was not so funny. Was a real stressful morning. Everything was shut down: roads, trains, buses. And thousands of people were stuck in the train station.
When I go to the airport, so late, my only option to get to Portugal soon as fast was going to Faro. The helpdesk didn't knew if I had any available seat in direct flight to Lisbon on the next day or even on the day after that. So I went to Faro.
What an adventure.
Now I can laugh about this and I look back and I see this was quite a journey!
For the second time I tried to go to the Pompidou Center, and for the second time it was closed. This means I've to go to Paris once again one year. Maybe during summer.
Nevertheless I enjoyed so much Paris with snow. Was magical!
I saw snowing the all day, went dinner out at this great place called Atelier Vivanda (recommend).
I only regret the fact I didn't saw Paris at night with snow on the top of Eiffel Tower, that would make my trip over the moon!
You can see by my pictures it was cold. I even had to buy a bigger scarf!

It's no secret I love get tattoed and even I don't plan to be completely tattoed, it's a possibility. Recently I found out Daniel Kickflip would be in Almada as guess spot at Butcher Tattoo, so I knew I had to grab this chance to get tattoed by him and one of his original work. I was super happy when me replied my contact and informed me the drawing was available. I had this drawing in my head for months!
So in the middle of january, I went to Almada to make this girl.
I know lots of people don't like it and I love it!
Technically this tattoo looks. The lines are perfect and clean.

A couple days ago I met a very nice lady! We were talking about life, what I do with my life, etc...
I told her I felt different that most of people, including my own best friends! That I've this strange idea which I - eventually - paint or sculpt that strange idea. I mostly wear black because I'm a designer and I have to work with colours every single day and the fact I don't have to look to myself and put my brain to work to get dressed every day, it's so calming!
But the fact I wear, most of time, black and have piercings or tattoos doesn't mean I'm gothic, punk, hardcore girl... No, in fact, I don't think I fit in on any category. And the most funny thing about this is, I don't like to see many people with piercings and/or tattoos.
After a while talking, she told me: "You've graduated and you've worked on night shift to pay your studies. You travel alone. You tattoo for yourself, not to show off. You volunteer. You have a career and enjoy your work. That's so rare."
I have always been so judgmental about myself, because all my life I've been judged by my parents, teachers, basically everyone.
And of course, I started to be a super critical about myself. I want to be perfect, the best of all, always!
That can be good, because makes you sharper, more alert, ambitious but also makes you feel super bad whenever something goes wrong or simply not the way you wanted to be.
I don't tolerate mistakes!
After this conversation I noticed the way people treat me, they normally call me 'Peres' and she spent the all time calling me 'Dra. Ana' and she is also a doctor, with a major degree.
At the end of our conversation she told me I've to realize I'm on a higher level than most of the people! And this hit me like a rock!
This lady made me think about who I'm, what I accomplished throughout my life. And I've realised I need to be more friendly to myself. I've to treat myself better.
So today I treated myself a little bit better!
I deserved a bubble bath, with an excellent red wine to relax.
I like my body, my tattoos, my piercings and I'm proud of myself and found myself so sexy with all of this!

Since a couple of years, around new years eve, I make a list of wishes for the new year...
This year I decided not to do that! Why?
Seems like I make a list of things I must do it, no matter what and if I don't manage to do it, I get this feeling of failure. Which makes this all thing of wishes negative, when was supposed to be positive and not to make me think I'm breaking promises.
I'm not the type of person to say something and not to make it. Everything I decided to do, I do it even if it takes a while... But the pressure is less and I do it whenever I've time, money... whenever I can...
So this year, I will not make a list of 2018 wishes.
However I've a list of stuff I want to do soon, yes I do, but basically I need money.
Nevertheless, I'm anxious for 2018!
The last couple of weeks, were a bit awful... I lost my grandfather, lost my cat and held her in my arms while she died, had serious arguments with people I should argued in the beginning - including coworkers - lots piercings and worked too much.
The last semester was - at least - strange... Had a 'not sure if serious' kind of marriage proposal (not joking), had an extra-marriage - affair - proposal (no, still not joking), cut relationship and stepped away from people who hurt me, tried to do more of what made me happy, like going to concerts and tattoo more. I actually tried to be more open and friendly and be around the ones I enjoy the company and in some cases I should not have done that, I now realized that.
So, I'm anxious for 2018.
Really hope that 2018 be better than 2017, may I be more patience, less stressful, may I travel more and make more tattoos, more good food, more friends, more everything of what is good!
Beside, I already know I will be travelling in January and get the chance to be with my friend Débora in Zurich.
So bring it on 2018.
