Time to time, Aldi has promotions of world food, oriental, nordic and I really like it. On the other day, I went there and saw remoulade on sale, which is a typical danish mustard/mayo. The first time I tried it was on my first trip to Danmark (see it here) and I love to eat that Hot-Dog with that sauce in one of the central squares. I remember to eat it and thinking this is really good. And it is! So when I saw it in Aldi I knew I would buy it and make hot-dog.
So! How you do a danish hot-dog? Easy!
Big sausage, I use one from Lidl, slim chips and remoulade. I only use that because I don't like pickles and this sauce already have onion.

Try it, you will not regret.

Do-it-yourself is, at this moment, very fashionable! Everyone has a DIY project to share, specially bloggers however I'm not an average blogger that follow trends, so for today "One on Friday" this DIY is not made be myself but by Levis.
And lets face it, is much more interesting to take advice from fashion designer than from some blogger slash 'wannabe' designer (well, now that I'm writing this, I'm a designer and blogger, so I not included in this category).

How to customize your own Levis garment. personally I don't like to cut and touch my levis. I think my Levis are already unique and special so I will not change what I really like unless its old, seriously old.

Start to boil water and put the linguini for 4 minutes.
Chopped the onion and drop a good portion of olive oil into the wok. Add 2 leaves of laurel.
Let the onion cook a bit, and mix the shrimps and put the heat stronger, so everything may cook fast.

This post was request by many families! Well by one... to be honest only by one person, heidiland!
After I share on my personal facebook one picture of my new soap dish in shape of an optopus, my mother comment that my countertop of my WC is amazing and she requestme to write a post about it. So here it is!

I'm fanatic about animal shape decoration objects and I have several objects alike! Obviously my WC has also animal decoration, related to sea because WC has a natural relation with water!
I have to pieces that are related to water, well I migth go ahead and say 3 pieces... The octopus soap dish, the sea urchin pot and the lighthouse soap (this last one, will not last much, sniff!)
My countertop is actually wide.


On the left side I have:
Octopus soap dish, the sea urchin pot, candle, deodorant and makeup remover.



On the right side, I have:
Perfume, 2 body creams, hair dryer, a tile painted by myself, and one small dish (also made by myself!) with elastics bands, earrings, rings, eyelash curler and lipstick.



Update(!), because I have been asked about my rings after this post, I bought them at H&M and COS.
Its kind of big, right?
My mother loves it and says she wants one like that...

I end up by having the music of Hozier and Annie Lennox on repeat! I admire very much this lady.

Another month another mini-trip! Yes it was really a mini-trip to Holland.

This all trip was estranged and full of setbacks.
It has begun by re encounter an old childish friend well he was not really my friend I think... I remember him annoying me and bullying me all the time. He recognized my immediately even that had pass over 25 years...

Than when I arrived at Holland, I had to wait over one hour for the 3 animals that were traveling with me. I was invited by one security guy to follow him and I walk around in areas normally you don't go, I was thinking something had happen to the animals, but the elevator was broken so they pick me up so I pick up the animals, just that! Hint: Gentleman next time, explain so I will not be making a terror movie in my head.

Sadly and once again I didn't had time to visit Amsterdam... Because the setbacks goes on, and we had to take one of the animals to a foster family far away and another dog spent the night with me.

But I had several positive experiences!!
Saw 4 animals adopted from Bianca, by the president of Mirbessa. Ate delicious food, fish snacks and a roll thing with cheese that was amazing. And of course the airplane trip, which I love.

I hope next time I might visit Amsterdam and maybe go to museums and ride a boat for sightseeing.

Well on the other week I was challenged!
Heidiland aka Débora challenge me to answer to 10 questions made by her and after that nominate 3 other blogger to reply to my own questions.

These are the questions from Heidiland  and my answers...
1. How did your blog's name born? Well, easy its my name (it started to be my portfolio showcase, thats why is my name but soon I feel the need to talk more than my work, to talk about stuff outside my professional world, like fashion, traveling, cooking, etc., and it was a natural process).

2. What do you except in a blog?
When I start to follow a blog, what I must enjoy and what makes me came back everyday, is the information. Specially the images! I just love blogs with beautiful images. I also love to be informed about new trends love to learn new stuff and if I can get all that in one blog, I will follow it. I will share that blog and will go back everyday.

3. How do you define yourself in 3 words?
This is not easy and I admit I took hours to find the right words! I'm determined, ambitious and independent.

4. What do you do when you are upset?
Bite my nails and skin around my nails and shake my foot constantly.

5. Favorite music and why?
I have 3 favorite musics!
Let down from Radiohead, Closer from NIN and Just Dance from Lady Gaga, by the way click on songs' title and listen to them.
Why?
Radiohead's song is divine! Seams to me be written by angels and touch my being in a very special way. I always wished I had written it!
Nin's song has the rhythm and lyrics I just love and goes directly to my must deep and animal side and I like it.
And Lady Gaga, is joyful, positive and whenever I'm happy I remember that one an immediately start to sing and dance.

6. Favorite city and why?
"So far" Rome! I absolutely love history specially Greek-roman history. I think I must been very happy in Rome during old roman era.

7. Favorite food and why?
Chicken, specially fried.

8. Most important person in your life?
No doubt my sister.

9. If you could choose, what would you change in your life?
Oh I would change so many small things... small decisions I took and when I look back I realize how my life might be different if I would be so stubborn. But I love my life and form the top of my head the only thing I would change was done more for my dog, done more treatments who had lymphoma. Maybe she had lived more time with us.

10. What do you think about animal - cat and dog - trade (sell and buy)?
Totally against as I'm also against animal reproduction at puppy mills or just because is funny, the dog will enjoy...whatever is to earn money with animals I don't like. Beside that millions of animals are putted down to sleep each year because no one adopt them at animals shelters and local kennels. Than you have people reproducing cats and dogs.


Now I have no idea who I'm going to nominate because most of my friends doesn't blog. Only one.. so I will just nominate Vera!

I just meet this brand a few days ago but i'm already a fan.
This baskets goes back tomy childhood, when they were very fashionable.
As the years went by, they just gone out of fashion and the technique of making baskets almost was extinguish! But I always like them!
Another interesting fact is the fact that Portuguese culture learned to like itself. A few years back, only foreigners goodies was fashion or worthy and everything made in Portugal was secondary... However the foreigners seam to like our products and we , portugueses, have plenty of brands working here because we have qualify worker which means products of quality.
With all this, I want to say that Portuguese Culture manage to stand up and reactivate ancien techniques that were almost forgotten. One of them is the basket handmade art. One of them is Toino Abel.

This baskets made by Toino Abel, are handmade by secular techniques by Nuno Henriques grandfather from Alcobaça (check map).
I'm 'wow' by this and I simply love this fresh and vogue colors on this traditional baskets...

No doubt I will buy one!
