I just realized I never posted anything about Rihanna... How is this possible?
Personally I have distinct feelings about her... I envy her confidence to be what she wants to be but at the same time I don't feel comfortable the way she expose so much herself, posting pics of her smoking etc... Maybe its just me being conservative?
Musically I like most of her songs, specially the 'dancable' ones!

The fact we want to eat healthy, doesn't mean at all, we have to eat basic plain, food without tasty, simply to survive.
Eating well and eating tasty food is halfway to not eat funky food because we still didn't satisfied our appetite and in contrary, will make you eat badly around the clock.
Well, not that I need to loss weight in fact I even need to gain weight but I understand mostly of people can relate to this first situation.

Today's recipe is just a hint who to make a twist of boiled potatoes, in just a couple of minutes, but super tasty and makes a great side dishes for meat, fish, etc...

Ingredients (2 portions):

- 2 a 3 leafs of basil
- 1/4 of purple onion
- 2 big potatoes boiled in big cubes
- olive oil
- spices q.b.
- lime juice



Start to boil the potatoes, with or without the skin.
In a non-stick fry pan, put the olive oil, onion and basil and let it cook until the onion is caramelized. Than add the potatoes.


Stir everything very well, add some spices and a few drops of lime juice. Stir once more and voilá!


So easy right? I ate this potatoes with grilled chicken.

Maybe you already notice, even Google displayed a doodle just for Autumn, but its officially Autumn. And for the first time after summer, I felt cold during the night and had to add a blanket....
In my head, everything went crystal clear " Its Autumn, winter is just around the corner, Christmas is almost here as the end of the year!" And I don't want to... Can we go back to summer, long days, hot and beach? Please....

Today I have another non-skinny recipe! Last week I've talked about gluten free waffles (see recipe here), today I will explain who to make gluten free pancakes Who is your friend hum?


Well, its very easy and will give you around 6-7 pancakes and you only need:

- 300 ml of milk
- 150 gr of gluten free flour (I like Dove Farm mix flour)
- 2 tea spoons of Xanthan gum (once again I used Dove Farm)
- 1 egg
- 3 soap spoon of sugar
- 1 soap spoon of oil



Stir everything, for example I used chef from Tupperware and the dough is ready.
In a non-stick fry put a portion (I used a soap serving soap to guide me) and with the help of a spatula turn to the other side when you see the dough is cooked. Each side takes around 1 min, depends of your stove.



Repete this process until the dough is finished.


Goes tremendously well with chocolate like Nutella!

You can put some in the freezer and therefore you will have some ready for next time you just fell like eating pancakes, because we can not be always cooking.

I've been away from this type of posts, because I've been on holidays, but now I'm back to my normal routine, so music is back to my life.
I think is well-known I like all kinds of music, and lately I've been more to the electronic/dance, experimental side...
That is how I discovered Lorn, searching new music...
Lorn is a electronic musician that started to gain attention a few years back - around 2010 - but lately has some spotlight on him. Has made some sound tracks for games and have a few albums edited.
Since I discovered him, I've been listen to his albums on youtube and love it!

For a very long time I wanted to visit Serpa, a small town near the Spanish border.
Serpa is well-known in Portugal due to its medieval fairs and its beautiful castle and old city surrounding the castle.

So when I was planing my trip back home from Malaga, saw one of the best way was just passing by Serpa, and thought why not enjoy this opportunity and stop in the middle of the day and visit this town?
So I did!

Was extremely hot, remember Serpa is near Spain, in Alentejo where is normally much hot than the coast.
Had a small lunch and headed myself to the old centre of Serpa. Has about 15h in the afternoon and the castle should be open, but it was not... I saw the timetable and really should be open... Maybe too hot to be working :)
Although I manage to sight seeing around Serpa and I can tell you its a beautiful place to visit. Small streets where people still not lock the doors, everything is mainly white and old-fashion.











As I promised, I'm checking my 2016 wish list (read it here) and visit more of Portugal. Hope I manage to fulfil all my wishes!

Oh my god, I just realized I took one year to finish this! Well, I kept delaying the painting part... until now!
It only took me a couple of hours to paint, let it dry and paint again. The weather helped a lot, so it was quickly to finish!

Next day of my visit to Seville, I woke up really early and headed myself to Malaga, as my final destination was really that city.
For over 10 years I planned to visit Malaga, after I read in some magazine a small article, however I kept delaying this trip...

Malaga is a very exotic city, much more cooler than Seville and, in my opinion, much prettier too. You will hear and see exotic birds all over the city, so amazing.
Malaga is a small city and I think one or two days are enough to visit the main attractions. I stood there for only one day and, for me, was enough.

To see:

- Roman Teather
- Cathedral
- Gibralfaro Castle
- Alcazaba
- Birthplace of Picasso
- Picasso Museum
- Pompidou Centre
Among other places...

Tips:

- Buy your combine ticket to Castle and Alcazaba, cheaper, although the individual price is also cheap.
- At the Castle you get a panoramic view over Malaga and its harbour. Beautiful!
- Between the Castle and Alcazaba you have a path that links both monuments, its pretty doable but 'slippy', be aware.
- Avoid eating Tapas at Alcazaba, too bad and too high price.
- The entrance at Cathedral is paid, in my opinion, high price to see a small cathedral with little to see.
- Malaga is known for its sweet wine, very similar to Portuguese Porto wine and sweet liquor Moscatel. You should try it although the quality of Malaga's wine comparing with Portuguese is lower.
- If you buy sight seeing bus Hop-on, Hop-off combine ticket with museums, you get a free boat ride and one flamenco show (read the brochure in advance).
- Once again, avoid horse pull carriages... Don't enjoy your staying over animals' suffering!

Since I has forced to started gluten free diet, my all diet changed so much, I had to take off everything with wheat, a bunch of things I used to eat and you never think it was wheat...

Obviously I have to be creative as gluten free pre-made food is so expensive, so its a true challenge to make gluten free food yourself, like waffles. The trick is all about the flour. Find yourself a good mix of gluten free flour. I discovered Dove Farm gluten free flour and I totally advice you to get it! You can not compare to home made mix of flour you read all over the internet... In Portugal, Celeiro sell this flour!



The recipe is very simple and will give around 9 waffles!

Ingredients:
- 1 cup of tea of flour gluten free mix ( with Xantham gum included)
- 1 table spoon of sugar
- 1 table spoon raising powder (gluten free)
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 table spoon of salt
- 1/4 cup of tea of oil
- 2/3 table spoon of milk

Start to mix all ingredients solids. Than mix the eggs, oil and milk ans stir very well until you get a smooth dough.
Pre-heat the waffle machine and spray a bit of oil.


Pour 2 or 3 spoons of the dough into the middle of each waffle form and let it cook until the waffle has a golden colour or the light is off.

I can advice you to eat it with ice-cream (see image below), chantilly and chocolate! Bomb!!

You can make more quantity and put in the freezer involved in tin foil. Every time you want to eat, just take it out, put for one minute in the toaster and you will never notice it had been in the freezer. Perfect!

Well, I'm back! I'm back from terribly hot Spain! And I have so much to tell you!

Although my final destination was Málaga, I decided to take the most of this journey and made a stop in Seville, for at least one day.
Last monday, I left around 6h in the morning to Sevilla!
I've decided to take my now car after I checked the flight tickets and had search on Via Michelin site, the best and cheapest way to get my destinations by car. So I took my car and spent 50 euros of diesel, including return tour from Sesimbra - Sevilla - Málaga - Serpa - Sesimbra, plus 9 euros of polls on my way back. Very acceptable right?
I took my own car and I can tell you the way to Spain and Seville is very good and the view was nice, with a few stops along the way to refresh myself, get some fresh water, stretch my legs and get fresh water, because it really a necessary thing. I drunk more water in one day than I normally do in a all week...

Sevilla is absolute, tremendously hot city and is usual to see refreshing systems at esplanades of most of the restaurants and coffees shops. But believe me, even with that systems you will find hard to cool off!
After my arrival and made check-in, I headed myself to the centre of the city but soon realized I could be in the streets for much longer and took a cab to my hotel and stood there until 19h at the evening, under the air conditioning. Was 43 degrees in the shadows and the air was unbreathable. Twice I felt dizzy and had to cool myself with a shower of cold water just in the middle of the street.

About the city itself...
Its a small city, so a day or two is enough. There is not much to see and the city looks old, to be honest. I advice you to visit Sevilla off hot season!

- Metropol Parasol
- Giralda
- Bull fighting ring of Maestranza
- Triana Bridge
- Cathedral of Seville
- Reales Alcázares of Seville
Among other points of minor interests...

Tips:

- Use fresh and light clothing, because of the hot/weather.
- Drink lots of water, eat ice-creams and food that may hydrate you, once again because of the hot.
- Use public transports to get around the city, or sight seeing bus.
- If you take your own car, like I did, be aware of parking payments. Blue lines on the floor, indicates payment during working hours; white lines on the floor indicate free parking space.
- Plane your trip ahead and - if you take your car - check costs and best way to get from point A to B with Via Michelin website, which is excellent for tips and gives you an idea of how much can cost you taking your own car.
- Make a small boat tour and get a different perspective of the city.
- Avoid ride carriages... You will see plenty of carriages pull by horses all over Sevilla. Those animals work under extremely hot sun, pulling loads of weight just to entertain people. You can me enjoy yourself in Sevilla and be a better person and not include animal cruelty.
